Kandolhu Island, Maldives

An island of relaxation – holiday in paradise

Even in the midst of the Maldives, such a perfectly situated island idyll is a rarity. Forming part of the North Ari Atoll, the island is surrounded by a unique coral garden. The beauty and tranquillity of the island, with its white, unspoilt beaches and emerald green ocean, casts a spell on each and every visitor.

After a short flight by seaplane to the 150 x 200 metre island, guests land in paradise. The resort consists of only 30 villas that have been individually decorated in five different architectural styles. All villas, however, reflect contemporary Maldivian architecture and feature a modern interior design. This modern design is carried throughout the electrical installation, which was completed with the classic LS 990 series from JUNG. The pure white of the installed components blend harmoniously into the light-filled rooms.

Ranging in size from 85 to 150 square metres, the homes offer either private access to the sea or, at minimum, direct views of the ocean. Depending on the type, they come equipped with an additional outdoor bathroom and bedroom, Jacuzzi or a patio deck with private pool. Every comfort has been seen to inside as well: Holidaymakers can enjoy the ease of modern technology with air conditioning, a sound system, flat screen TV, telephone and Wi-Fi. Each villa also offers something extra special with its own ‘mini wine cellar’.

At the heart of the complex, guests can enjoy restaurants, bars, an exclusive spa and even a wedding chapel. Ideal water conditions around the island and encounters with the abundant reef inhabitants make for unforgettable experiences when diving. However, other water sports, including windsurfing, catamaran trips, sailing, or glass bottom boat tours, provide active travellers with the perfect ‘break’ from peaceful relaxation on this dream island.
