The DEBIS building is a modern office complex in the vicinity of the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Together with other buildings in a similar style, it is a constituent part of the Daimler area. It was built from 1993 to 1997 to a design from Renzo Piano for the Daimler-Benz affiliate DEBIS In architectural terms the DEBIS building likewise follows the plan that had been drawn up by Renzo Piano for the entire area. What catches the eye most is the façade made of naturally coloured terra cotta panels with their warm glow. The building has blocks of differing heights. The tower that is 106 m high with the DEBIS logo at the top can be seen from a long distance. Equipped with an intelligent KNX system from JUNG, the building technology of the DEBIS building meets the high demands placed on it for functionality and comfort.
